The 2025 NWSL has released the 2025 schedule, 44 days ahead of the first competition of the year, the Challenge Cup.
The match to kick off the season will see the Orlando Pride host the Washington Spirit in an NWSL Cup 2024 rematch on March 7, to be streamed on Prime Video.
Now in the second year o groundbreaking broadcast and streaming partnerships, it's set to be a historic campaign for the league. The same schedule will continue in 2025, with Prime Video airing Friday night matches, ION airing Saturday night double-headers and CBS and ABC/ESPN showing matches on Saturdays and Sundays.
Highlighting the 2025 schedule release is the return of Decision Day on Nov. 2, which will see matches simultaneously kick off to determine seeding for the playoffs.
The league will take a break from June 23-29, per the newest version of the CBA, followed by a pause in regular season action for all of July. The entire regular season will be held across a 26-week period.

The 2025 regular season itself begins Friday, March 14, with the Pride and the Spirit each hosting respective matches to kickoff the domestic campaign. From a viewing perspective, there will be 11 regular season matches aired on CBS and three on ABC – one more on each channel than in 2024. The streaming and broadcast breakdown:

11 CBS Television Network matches, 10 CBS Sports Network, and 39 Paramount+/NWSL simulcasts
ESPN:

In addition, a key date to watch for is MLS Rivalry Week, which is set to take place on Aug. 8-10, featuring three games in the Cascadia Rivalry between the Portland Thorns and Seattle Reign, the SoCal rivalry between Angel City and the San Diego Wave, and the East Coast rivalry between the Washington Spirit and Gotham FC.
Broadcast details for Decision Day have yet to be released, but the key fixtures will see all seven matches kick off at once in a highly-anticipated regular season finale. The games are as follows:
