Manchester United have secured the services of Welsh wonder-kid Levent Gundogan after a successful trial at Carrington, The Sun reports.
What’s the word?
After alerting Manchester United scouts with a four-goal haul in a 4-4 draw with the Red Devils when representing a Welsh development squad, U14’s ace Levent Gundogan was awarded with a six-week trial with the Premier League side.
In his spell with the Red Devils, Gundogan impressed enough to earn a full-time contract with Jose Mourinho’s side. Capable of playing as a striker or in attacking midfield, Gundogan is definitely one to keep an eye on in the coming years.
What’s been said?
Quoted by The Sun, a spokesman for Gundogan’s former side Connah’s Quay Nomads said:
“[He’s] a very gifted player who is comfortable up front or in attacking midfield. Levent’s attitude and commitment to training and the club have been first-class and we wish him all the best during his time at Manchester United.”
“He performed well in the game which saw him score four goals in a four all friendly, away at Carrington. From this he was awarded a six week trial, for which he has been successful and signed a full time contract with Manchester United Academy last week.”
