The Catalans ultimately edged the battle, with six Real Madrid and eight Barcelona players included in total. Thibaut Courtois, Antonio Rudiger, Jude Bellingham, Federico Valverde, Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Junior were all given the nod, while Barca's nominees included defenders Alejandro Balde, Inigo Martinez, Jules Kounde, and Pau Cubarsi; midfielder Pedri; and forwards Raphinha, Lamine Yamal, and Robert Lewandowski.
The fact that so many Barcelona players were selected for the Team of the Season nomination list highlights their overall supremacy in Spanish football during the 2024-25 campaign.
